When I first moved to NYC, I started hearing things like, "Oh, that place has the best cupcakes in the city," or "if you want a good cupcake..." Apparently, New York's fame as a cupcake capital has spread to the West Coast, because as I was out with my Mom today, I saw this at the local mall:

New York cupcakes (I'm thinking Magnolia in particular here) are terribly overated. Banana pudding is where true happiness lies...
